It's that time of year again, as writers across the world dust off their blogs to share their publications from the past year. And I am pleased to say that I am no different! Books PublishedThis year I hit a professional milestone--I published my first tie-in novel! I've always enjoyed reading tie-in novels and was thrilled when I got the invitation to write a YA story set in the Halo universe. In 2019 both it and its sequel were published. I also had another unique publishing experience this year, as I was the first publication from Interstellar Flight Press, a small press founded by my friend and critique partner Holly Lyn Walrath! I've also been doing slush reading with IFP, which has been a fantastic experience. Short Works PublishedI didn't publish as many poems as I did last year, largely because I got extremely lazy about submissions, but a few did come out in 2019: "What Waited Beneath the Mountain" in Kaleidotrope "Amphitrite" in Star*Line I also go another first though IFP, this time through their online magazine. I published a work of nonfiction--a movie review, to be exact, fulfilling one of my lifelong dreams! "It Chapter Two is All About What Shapes Us As Adults" in Interstellar Flight Magazine Coming in 2020I have two books scheduled for a 2020 publication:
Sacred Summer, a horror novella-in-verse coming from Aqueduct Press in the spring Forget This Ever Happened, a YA science fiction novel coming from Holiday House in the fall
