Full Post: The Assassin’s Curse Blog Tour and Giveaway!

The blog tour for The Assassin’s Curse kicks off tomorrow! Tomorrow also happens to be my birthday, so it’s quite an exciting day all around.

As mentioned, I will be doing a giveaway in conjunction with the tour. As soon as I get my author copies of the novel, I will get to work annotating one of them with notes about my process, my favorite (and maybe even… least favorite) scenes, and any anything else that comes to mind. As I am an unrepentant doodler, and am incapable of taking any sort of notes without drawing something (seriously, you should see my notes from college), expect some illustrations to work their way in there. And the book itself will of course remain legible, so you’ll be able to read the actual, you know, story, as well.

This annotated copy of the novel will go to one lucky person, who will be chosen thusly: At each stop on the blog tour, the host will choose a finalist. That will leave us with nine finalists, at which point I will scrounge up a d10 from my Dungeons and Dragons playing days and select a final winner. I’ll announce the winner both here on the blog and on my Twitter account (@mitochondrial).

  1. I’ve almost completed this book, but I’m nearing the end with the feeling there still is a whole lot of story left to tell. So, I’m curious is this one part of a series? If it is how many books are planned for the series and when will book #2 be released? PS: do any of the other books have titles yet?

    • It’s the first part of a duology. The second book is called The Pirate’s Wish and it will be out in summer 2013. Hope that helps!

  2. Dear Cassie,
We just returned from a visit to your former town, Cuero, TX. My beautiful niece-in-law and nephew just moved to Victoria. They thought we would enjoy Cuero and we certainly did. Charming.
I just retired from teaching in Missouri and LOVE to read.
Anyway…how could I purchase a signed copy of your book, The Assassin’s Curse for my beautiful niece-in-law who is new in town and away from family? We visited them for two reasons–Thanksgiving and my one and only nephew’s 50th birthday! I sure wish we lived closer than a 2-day drive—even though the drive was beautiful!
Cannot wait to get a copy of your book…Amazon?
    What did you teach?
    Thank you so much—
    Mary Townlsey
